A Master's "Secret" Keyword Strategy Part 2

Keyword Strategy #1 to Keyword Strategy #5

  • Keyword Strategy #6.

    URL Address Changes: A simple way to get around page submission limits and enhance the effectiveness of your submissions is to slightly alter your URL address.

    For example, if the first URL you register is: http://www.Name-Of-Your-Domain.com, you can create three other URLs simply by dropping the www. and adding your homepage default name, usually index.html. So you could register


    in addition to your originally registered name!

    This way you have four addresses which all point to the same page.

    If you use this technique, don't be too obvious about it,
    spread your submissions out over a period of weeks.

     


  • Keyword Strategy #7.

    Mirror Pages/Sites: The next step up from URL variation is page duplication. This is done with the creation of "Mirror Pages." This technique has long been used to in attempts to boost website rankings. When you mirror a page, your create copies of it and give each copy a unique URL or


    Some search engines are starting to notice and penalize this, so use it
    sparingly

     


  • Keyword Strategy #8.

    Doorway Pages:

    Doorway pages can be specifically targeted to attract a high ranking with each search engine individually.

    Each doorway page is developed around specific keywords or phrases, thereby allowing you to maximize your use of keywords.

    Some important factors to take into consideration when designing doorway pages are:

     


    • Number of words: Keep it low, under 250 words if you can, to maximize the keyword density factor.

       


    • Content: Although the search engines will rank you high just because you are using the right keywords your visitor must now be convinced to click through to your next page.

       


    • Audience appeal: Make sure that each page appeals to the
      particular audience it is specifically targeted to reach.

       


    • Quick loading: You want to make sure these pages load fast --
      their only purpose to to get the click to your main site.

       


    • Registering: If possible, register each doorway page individually with its targeted search engine.

       


    • Linking: Obviously, your doorway pages should link to your main homepage.

       



    Some search engines will only rank pages linked from your homepage,
    however, so you may have to use links which are tiny, and/or invisible.

     


  • Keyword Strategy #9.

    Re-Direct URLs: You can have as many listings as you have unique URLs. And this way you can design unique pages, tailoring them to fit the listing criteria of each individual search engine!

     


  • Keyword Strategy #10.

    Doorway Sites: A doorway site is simply a collection of targeted doorway pages on one domain. Your visible links go to your main site.
    Use invisible links on your index page to each of your doorway pages on that site so all pages will be indexed.

    You can have as many of these sites as you like, bearing in mind that you'll have to promote each and every one of them for them to be effective.

     



Search engine registration is a
lot of work!
