The Master's "Secret" Keyword Strategy

These strategies are more common than you might think, because they are very effective. Since they are not considered "spamming" by most search engines, there is little risk involved.

  • Keyword Strategy #1.

    Deliberate Misspellings: Grammar doesn't count when it comes to listing keywords. Using a common misspelling of a keyword will sometimes get you more traffic than using a correct spelling, because may be the only web page catalogued that dares to use a misspelling.


  • Keyword Strategy #2.

    Derivatives & Variations: Use as many variations of the same word as possible. So, for example, rather than just using the word "success," you could use "successful" and "succeed." You can also use phrases like "how-to" that may be typed in the search engines, but remember that many common words such as, "a," " the," "and," etc. are ignored.




  • Keyword Strategy #3.

    Alphabetical & Numerical Text Order:  


    • Try to choose a TITLE that begins with a letter at the start of the alphabet. (Some search engines list sites in alphabetical order).

    • Even better, begin your TITLE with a number or ASCII characters like "!" or "#".

    • Using quotation marks might also be an effective way to improve your ranking.



    ASCII characters, numbers and letters used by most search engines are ordered in the following sequence:

  • Keyword Strategy #4.

    Make Your Keywords Plural: Since people often use the plural words when searching for information, it's a good practice to use the plural form of your keywords whenever the plural is formed by simply adding an "s".

    This way, your page will be found for both the singular and plural searches, but if you don't add the "s" it will only turn up for singular searches. 

  • Keyword Strategy #5.

    Use Semi-Relevant Keywords: This can be tricky, but it can help to reach a wider audience if you pick words that are related to what you are offering or to something that a person looking for your service or information could use. For instance, if your site happens to be a "gateway" to other sites, might use words relating not just to this site specifically but to those other services.
