ThisI'll introduce you to several, viral traffic-building systems (VTBS) which their creators promise will bring unlimited new traffic to your site.

I'll start with a general description of what a viral traffic-building system is and how they work. Next, will be some comments to take the "air" out of the hype, and --once you have your feet on solid ground-- I'll share some idea on how to make these tool pay.

VTBS's are a combination of the age-old game played by little girls and boys of "you show me yours and I'll show you mine", and the modern multiplying technique used in recent times by multi-level marketing. In simple terms you "buy" traffic by "giving-away" your own traffic.

Viral traffic-building systems are simple and potentially very effective. In fact as of there have been several VTBS startup on the internet and it would seem that some turned out to be so popular that the servers on which they were running had difficulty keeping up with all the traffic .

In short, you get traffic to your site simply using your browser as you normally do and by getting others to set up their browsers the same way.

How these traffic builders work

Here's how viral traffic-building systems work:
(They're free and setup takes only a few moments.)

1. Enroll in a program and set your browser's home page to the one provided by the viral traffic-building system.

2. Earn traffic credits by opening your browser.

3. Earn more traffic credits when your friends enroll and open their browsers.

4. You get more traffic credits when they bring in their friends, and so on, until the maximum depth is reached.

5. The more traffic credits you have, the more times your site will show up on another member's browser.

6. You get more traffic to your site -- it costs you nothing and the viral traffic-building system does all the work!

What is important to realize is that these are PROJECTIONS , not real figures. The mathematics are correct, but the reality may be BETTER or WORSE than the projections.

1. Use it to supplement your other traffic building , not replace or eliminate it.

2. Build a special entry page which is designed to quickly capture the attention of visitors and get them to take an action which will further your goals. That may be one or more of the following:
   
   

   • buy your product or service on the spot,
     
     
   • leave an e-mail address to allow you to follow up,
     
     
   • reply to an autoresponder link,
     
     
   • click to another page on your site,
     
     
   • click through to an affiliate merchant,
     
     
   • bookmark your page to return.

   In setting up this page remember the people who arrive at your page didn't come looking for you. Your page must be designed to capture their attention.

   Think of your page like a billboard on the highway, with the advantage that you can provide some option for immediate response that the billboard lacks.

   Your tactic for this page will probably be different from a page which is designed for someone who came looking for the information your site offers. Many of the visitors who arrive by this method have absolutely no reason to want to visit your site other than the fact that they are earning credits for their own special pages. Concentrate on this fact, see if you can use it to invent an approach that will grab their attention .

3. Devote a certain amount of your marketing time and energy to getting other users to enroll in the plan you've chosen to build up your group of users. Follow your efforts by using tracking links and dedicated e-mail addresses to fine tune your promotional efforts.

4. Keep up-to-date on developments, trends and new ideas. I strongly urge you to do at least one -- preferably both of the following , at least until you have so much traffic and so much business you can't take any more.

Systems I know of are StartBlaze, Traffic G Network, TradeMyPage, EzyTraffic, and No More Hits.

StartBlaze is operated by Aesop which is Mark Joyner's company. NMH is run by MBTA bvba, a company which is based in Belgium. Apart, from that and it's phone numbers, its web site provides no information as to who is behind it. That, in itself, need not be significant, but some people feel better knowing "who" is in charge.

StartBlaze requires you to be actively using your browser in order to accumulate credits, but it provides a "vacation" setting if you will not be using it for more than 14 days. NMH, apparently, does not require you to use your own browser to accumulate credits from your downline users.

Originally I was leaning toward StartBlaze but my current traffic counts are actually favoring No More Hits. I have no specific comments about the others because I have not had a long enough experience with them to judge their performance but I will say that they all seem to be serious, do not condone SPAM (which is a plus) and seem prepared to weed out people who try to abuse their systems. Each system seems to have a slightly different twist, offers some different variation and extras, but the strategies discussed here would apply to them all.

I really see no reason why a person shouldn't try any or all of these systems , as long as you're prepared to put in the effort to set them up so that you'll benefit from the extra traffic they generate. Follow the tips outlined at "What you Haven't Been Told" and set up several VTBS.
