eSuccess: the Secret Ingredient

by Ken Silver

It's about getting rich through selling information.

Don't yawn... I'm serious.

I want to reveal the real secret of selling information that few people know about or use. How do I know that? Just by looking about... very few marketers are doing it right.

Let me start by explaining that back in the dark ages I owned a couple of newspapers. One I bought for $1,500 down and sold 2 years later for $100,000 cash. All the while paying myself wages and profits and working about 4 hours a week. And two of those hours were flying to its office in our South Island from my base in the North Island.

Not bad. Let's look a bit closer at the picture and how I was able to do this.

I had some experience in the newspaper business. No formal training - I was self-taught. I also had a bit of an eye for design. I enjoyed redesigning both newspapers and making them attractive to readers through the graphical side as well as interesting news and features.

No great skills that hundreds of others didn't also have.

So how did I do it, and more importantly - how can this lesson apply to you in the information business?

The biggest, and little-known secret in the newspaper business, and the how-to business, and the internet is this...

KEYNOTE: Many people have the same knowledge as you and I.
It's how they present it that makes the difference.

All the knowledge that comprises a newspaper can be got by anyone with a bit of digging. Information just waiting to be plucked and....

REPACKAGED FOR PROFIT!

That's the answer!

Let me tell you - the material is out there. Thousands of Free Reports are available on the net. Or in your own ebook idea. It's how you pack it for your audience that makes the difference.

We'll get practical now. How and what do you do it?

Let's take affiliate material selling as an example. Some of the information out there is masterful - most of it not so good.

And millions of resellers attempt to sell the stuff in this tired old way:

  1. They get a free website.
  2. They fill it up with affiliate offers.
  3. They study the latest search engines fad.
  4. They give up.
Failure is guaranteed because they are just passive middlemen. Watching the material as it flows from the writers, letting it dribble through their own hands and then waving it goodbye as it travels on to goodness- knows-where.

And the overwhelming result? Millions of dissatisfied and out of pocket resellers.

Now, what would happen if one of those resellers - maybe even you - actually used the product they were selling?

And what if they found it was actually very good value for money, or offered a better way of doing things?

Then what if you (or they) sat down of an evening, and wrote what you thought of the product. Not only describing it in detail, but also how it worked for you? And if you made money from it, then putting that fact in too.

What you are doing is REPACKAGING. Just the same as my newspaper staff did with local news... experienced it, repackaged (wrote it in an interesting style), and put it in the newspaper.

Was it any wonder that my readership and circulation grew? And that I lived well off the earnings for two years until its eventual and vastly profitable sale?

I'm doing the same thing with electronic information. A "how-to" manual - digital or hardcopy - is just the same, ordinary experiences repackaged into a unique form, wrapped with your own personality.

Get packing!
